These look good and fun for summer.
I used to eat meat. I come from a family of adamant meat eaters. I used to be the one to barbecue, and I was good at it. I miss that. To cook meat is not easy because you can hurt yourself and others if you do not cook it enough, especially pork.
You see, I like meat, but not really how it reacts once I swallow it, frankly. I don’t eat it because of that, but also because of the cruelty of the meat industry and its horrible effects on the environment.
When I look at all the processed food I cannot eat with meat in it at the store, I think of “fake” meat. Who the heck would know the difference in most of that processed food? Nobody…
I do really like IMPOSSIBLE. Getting an Impossible Whopper at Burger King is one of my favorite things to do. I am just like everybody else with my Whopper and Fries and that is fun. Not someone who needs to find a special place to eat. Pure mainstream fast food, yeah. I hear McDonalds is getting an Impossible burger. Yay.
They have pork now. Gotta try it!
Impossible Pork Made From Plants
Tastes Better Than Ground Pork from Pigs*
Introducing Impossible Pork, our newest meat made from plants for people who love the juicy taste of ground pork. In fact, Impossible Pork was preferred to ground pork from pigs in a blind taste test.*
This looks tasty!
On a pretty cool vegan blog – https://holycowvegan.net/vegan-thandai/
This looks good. From the Green Planet [Recipes] website, who got it from a site called Healthienut [Healthy Nut?] – easy to follow plant based recipes.
It’s vegan, and mushrooms are so good for you.
“Egyptian Moussaka is traditionally made with ground meat, so this recipe substitutes it with diced mushrooms…”
Warm and hearty and fresh and healthy. Happy Holidays.
This recipe looks good, and it would be really easy to make it vegan. Substitute the butter with your vegan alternative or use olive or avocado oil instead. For the cream use coconut or soy alternative. Looks like a quick, tasty, healthy meal.
These look so good! I am going to try some of them, the black bean stew in the picture has me wanting it.
Holy Cow Vegan is a cool blog by a real vegan cook. Check it out at the link below.
This recipe looked especially tasty and fall is here, so I was quite attracted to it.
I am editing my past posts for accuracy. At the time of this post, the 3rd post in my brand new blog, Almost Vegan, and at that time I was a brand new vegan, well almost vegan, because I had no idea what I was doing. I made a mistake in missing the “lactose” in the ingredient list in Knorr vegetable mix. Frankly, I am glad I did, and it forms the basis of what being almost vegan is all about.
Knorr might have small amounts of lactose in that mix, but let’s be serious, if you put all the other vegan ingredients into this dish and that is the only trace of dairy, you are doing really well. And this stuff kicks ass! So lie and say it’s vegan.
Knorr vegetable recipe mix is a “may contain” for milk. — Good enough!
