I have been really busy lately and so I have been resorting to fast food.
I really like BK Veggies and always feel so normal getting a “burger” and fries at Burger King. Just remember to tell them to leave off the mayo. I feel a little less normal after that, but @#%$ it. I don’t let the look on the person’s face who is giving me my food spoil it for me.
Stop Right There!!!
It has come to my attention that these BK Veggie Burgers are not vegan. An Almost Vegan commenter broke the sad news to me and gave me this link to prove it. Here’s the info contained in the link:
BK VEGGIE
You know, I get this fairly often..and 9 out of 10 times they put the mayo on! Which is annoying given that it takes them awhile to make this. It was funny though..one time they screwed it up and I nicely asked them to fix it, so the manager told one of the guys to fix it. He got all this attitude and told her to just switch the buns..oh she got pissed and said “what if the customers allergic to eggs?” and bitched at him. It was great! At least the manager cared, even if he didn’t.
Great story, Carmen. Every time I bite into a BK Veggie I wonder if I will be tasting mayo, even though I tell them to leave it off. So far, my Burger King has not let me down.
hey, i don’t mean to ruin bk veggie burgers for you or anything… but; BK corporation makes no guarentee that their BK veggie burgers are either vegan or vegetarian. sorry.
I have never been able to like tofu either, and after liaennrg more about nutrition I feel no need to force myself to like it. Soy has a sugar that we can’t digest, which is why it gives us gas, and manufactured tofu has been processed to take out all of the fiber as well as a lot of the vitamins and minerals.Tempeh is a fermented product, so that the sugar has been broken down, and it uses the whole bean fiber all and tastes SO much better! ask around or maybe order online?
