Turtle Mountain

UPDATE [2023] – Tofutti Cuties are still around, but most of the delicious flavors of this “Turtle Mountain” brand [no longer called Turtle Mountain] are not. Read an article explaining…

The brand has been renamed So Delicious Dairy Free, Frozen DessertsFeed your soul with artfully crafted frozen desserts. Almond. Cashew. Coconut. Oat. Soy. And dozen of oh-so-tasty flavors. Every creamy spoonful is dairy-free, Non-GMO Project Verified and Certified Vegan.

Now, I am a huge Tofutti fan. I love cuties more than anything, but I have been to the Turtle Mountain and I must tell you… Purely Decadent SOY Delicious is some of the best vegan ice cream money can buy!

I love Cherry Nirvana, loaded with black cherries and chocolate flakes. I also love Chocolate Brownie Almond with chewy chocolate brownie chunks and roasted almonds. At first, I didn’t believe it could be vegan, so I read the pints and went to their website and this stuff is actually vegan certified.

Here’s a PDF with all the Purely Decadent nutritional information.

  1. I am totally addicted to this stuff. The Chocolate Brownie Almond is my fave. Because really, life without chocolate isn’t really life. It’s just existence.
Also, I found a great vegan dark chocolate bar called Dagoba. It’s totally organic and totally delicious.

    Hello,
I have a vegan blog called Almost Vegan. I have posted an extensive entry about Soy Delicious.

I received a comment (you will see it if you go to the link above) from a person in the UK asking me if it was possible for her to get some Soy Delicious. I see from your site that you have retailers in Canada, but it doesn’t look like she’s in luck.
    What should I tell her?
    Thanks for your time,
    Denise

    Hi Denise:
Thank you for the wonderful commentary. Although we are quite pleased with our Purely Decadent line we are still working to make it even better.
Turtle Mountain is a very small company when one looks at the ?ice cream? world. Distribution of our product in the United States has been a tremendous challenge, let alone other parts of the world. Even so, we have over the past few years grown a steady following of loyal and enthusiastic customers both in the U.S and abroad. Presently we sell product in Canada as well as Korea, Japan, Indonesia and South America. Our overseas sales are very limited and it would not be easy to find our product in these markets as they are mainly sold in a limited number of specialty shops. Recently we shipped our first container to the UK and the distributor is still working on getting placement. They are focusing mainly on health food stores as a first step. It will be a while before the product really hits the market in the UK. Shoshana can send an e-mail directly to the distributor requesting information. They can be reached at the following: devina at trianobrands.co.uk.
Again, thank you for your enthusiastic support. I would love to send you a few coupons in appreciation for the kind words. If you are interested please send me your mailing address and I will arrange right away.
    Kind regards,
